2/11/2009

Hi all,
I'll be able to start a list of all the wonderful people and companies donating money and products to help us fundraise for a van in about 2 weeks. As you know Melbourne City Mission are holding the funds and products in trust for us and so have all the information regarding the donations.

Below is a list of contacts I know of. I have a meeting with Katie from Melbourne City Mission next week and will be able to then start posting all the generous donators.

I would like to take this opportunity to extend my deepest and sincerest appreciation to Leo Suszko from Pacific Meat Sales Pty Ltd and staff in Melbourne.

Leo has been a blessing and a true knight of the cause. Leo has gone above and beyond to assist us in raising funds, he's doing an incredible job, including helping us get the blog set up. I cannot thank Leo enough.

The excitement that things are moving along has spread through not only Melbourne City Mission and staff at Glenroy Special School but we have also had wonderful feedback and assistance from Anna Oakley from Rio Tinto at Hail Creek Mine in QLD, who has been so supportive and forthcoming with information and assistance but also Carmen Prince from Caltex in NSW.

The information I have so far for financial donations is limited as the list is still to come but so far, a huge thank you to:

Commonwealth Bank in Lalor and
Refrigeration Services in North Coburg.

There are many more of you and I'm sorry I haven't listed you at this point but will as soon as possible.

We've also had amazing product support from
Amanda Mathews from Oceanspray,
Robyn Luke from Billabong,
Farah Lock from Mack Trucks,
Ingrid Schroder from Starbucks Coffee Company,
Shelley Cormick from Gloria Jeans's Coffees,
Granata Nella from SCA Hygiene Australasia,
Deann Thomson from San Diego Tortilla Factory and
Amanda Thomas from Pacific Brands.

If you have not been included in this list, please be patient with me to get the list and names up.

Thank you to you all, you have not only inspired me to keep going on but once the f'unding for Gem's van is finalised, I will with the information and support from Melbourne City Mission and Rio Tinto start 'Gem's Mobility Foundation' and hope to be able to assist other families in raising funds for mobility be it vans, wheelchairs or ramps for their homes.

Cheers
Net and Gem
